An organisation going through structural and cultural transformation are looking to hire a high calibre Head of Learning & Organisational Development to shape and lead the learning and OD strategy and create the frameworks to meet current and future business objectives.
Reporting into the HR Director, the key challenges will include ensuring there are required capacity planning systems (strategically and operationally) in place to enable the organisation to meet the continuing transformation and lead the program design and delivery of leadership development (individual and team development) ensuring the workforce are engaged with the cultural and structural change.
You'll also be instrumental in creating an empowered performance management culture by developing leadership and management capacity and capability, improving the quality of leadership (technical and non-technical), and ensure that the workforce is fully supported by a cost effective, high quality education program and framework that is accredited and increasingly, academically led.
Additionally, you will be expected to coach senior managers in living the values of the organisation and model the leadership behaviour required to drive high performance, as well as lead and rebuild a team.
The critical nature of this role means that you must be a deep seated expert in the areas of learning and leadership development, with some experience in a commercial unionised environment. You will have held a similar level role shaping the learning agenda, and this may include experience via an Executive Education organisation or Business School.
Strategically minded, you'll also have the ability to grasp the bigger picture and translate this into pragmatic learning initiatives and programmes building leadership capability and engagement. As you would expect, you'll have the credibility and confidence to influence at board level.
