This is an exciting opportunity to join the Open University at a time of significant change. HR is moving towards an Area of Expertise model and as a result we now have a new role for a Reward and Benefits Manager within the Reward, Benefits and Performance Area of Expertise.
Key responsibilities of the role will be to work with the Head of Reward, Benefits and Performance in developing the pay, reward, recognition and benefits strategies to ensure the adoption of best practice and alignment to the strategic objectives of the University. Suitable applicants will have extensive experience in a specialist reward and benefits role, operating with a high degree of autonomy within a regulated procedural context.
You will have proven experience of developing and implementing Reward and Performance Management frameworks / solutions aligned to the organisation’s Strategy. You will have experience on working in a complex unionised organisation with a good working knowledge of the tax implications and legal compliance requirements of reward and benefits schemes. You need to be a skilled negotiator, innovative thinker, confident in influencing and collaborating at senior levels and will be commercially astute and customer focused.
