Hitachi Europe Limited (HEU) is a social innovation company with the UK Regional Headquarters based in Maidenhead. The company’s European operations deliver services and solutions to customers in several key business areas. The company's portfolio includes digital media products, industrial components and equipment, European procurement and sourcing, research & design and information systems.

HEU is also responsible for managing a Shared Services Group that provides the Company's business units with a range of innovative and effective common services that deliver value, create ‘lean’ processes and support growth and development - including HR, IT, Legal, Finance, Public Affairs and Business Development.

The Reward Team

We are a small, busy team of experienced specialists providing payroll, compensation and benefits services to more than 550 employees in Hitachi Europe, and shared service provision for employee benefits and payroll to a number of other Hitachi group companies, covering a further 5,000 employees.  

The role

Reporting to the Head of Reward you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of compensation service delivery across Hitachi operations in Europe, operating in a shared service team environment.  

This means taking on the ownership and management of the annual pan-European compensation cycles – from the annual salary survey submission and salary review and bonus processes to assistance with provision of Remuneration Committee documentation and pan-European salary market data analysis. In addition you will oversee the management of relationships with our Compensation partners, including third party supplier management

You will also be expected to support the Head of Reward with the management and strategic direction of the function, as well as contributing to a variety of exciting projects – both pan-European and global – aimed at continuing to deliver innovative and business relevant services.

Your skills, knowledge and experience

We’re looking for someone with relevant proven experience, ideally gained in a similar global organisation. Equally important we need someone with a ‘can-do’ attitude, who has the expertise to play a key role in the continued development of compensation services across the business in the UK, Europe and globally.

Highly analytical and numerate, you’re someone who is well organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise as well as manage complex problems, You’re also a team player with well-developed stakeholder skills and a real customer focus.
