One of Britain’s most successful Paralympians, Lord Holmes won nine gold, five silver and one bronze medal in various swimming events between 1988 and 2000 and was also director of Paraylympic Integration for London 2012. In September 2013, he was named a life peer for the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
Delivering a speech titled 'Future challenges - preparing for artificial intelligence', Lord Holmes made the case for an optimistic future where the technological advances of the fourth industrial revolution will benefit society as a whole.
