Alain de Botton

Alain de Botton is an author and philosopher whose books have become bestsellers in 30 countries. Covering universal topics such as love, literature and travel, de Botton’s latest book (titled The News: A User’s Manual) examines how we interact with daily news.

De Botton also founded and helps to run a school in London called the School of Life.

How leaders can help employees find career meaning

Alain de Botton’s presentation looks at how we find meaning in our work, and how employers can help their employees to both enjoy and excel. The philosopher also examines how we choose a job (hint: don’t listen to your gut instinct) and how business leaders need to ensure they communicate company goals as effectively as possible.
