Creating a new Aviva

Christine joined Aviva in March 2013 as the Group HR director with responsibility for developing the global HR Strategy and providing leadership to the global HR function at Aviva. She is a member of Aviva’s Group Executive team.

Christine has a significant track record of leading human resources functions and being responsible for the delivery of successful cultural-change programmes across a number of businesses, including Barclays, Dunkin’ Brands Group, Starbucks Coffee Company and Thomas Cook Group (Canada).

Former European leader of global innovation consultancy ?What If!, Atif has spent the last 3 years in the trenches with senior leaders working to reinvent their businesses in the face of market disruption. He believes that business model and behaviour are of equal importance when doing so - and is building a new breed of consultancy capable of transforming both, at pace.

In fact from a young age he has been passionate about finding the sweet spot between human potential and commercial success. It is this passion that has seen him deliver everything from summer schools for aspiring teens, from deprived backgrounds, to product innovation for growth brands and transformation for ambitious organisations.

Using his blend of innovation, marketing and leadership expertise Atif has worked with exec teams across a variety of sectors - including CNN, Aviva, PaddyPower, and the Rugby Football Union – to create and deliver compelling blueprints for the future. He is clear, however, that the most challenging transformation project he will ever face lies in bringing up his two daughters Zahra and Sophia.
