What makes your organisation a top employer?

It’s great to receive this accolade. We aim to provide an outstanding colleague experience, with high quality initiatives that engage, reward and motivate colleagues, ensuring that they can develop themselves personally and professionally, and build a rewarding career.

What initiatives do you have in place to help be a top employer?

Having achieved Top Employers recognition for the last couple of years we are clear about where our opportunities lie. We are working through our business priorities and have aligned our HR strategy to support this.

We have set challenging objectives and metrics and hold ourselves to account by reviewing them on a monthly basis.

We strongly believe that a top employer should always focus on and continuously review these HR disciplines:

• Talent strategy
• Workforce planning
• On-boarding
• Learning & development
• Performance management
• Leadership development
• Career & succession management
• Compensation & benefits
• Culture

It’s important to ensure your over-arching HR strategy aims to improve the employee experience and ultimately strengthen your employer brand at the same time too.

What are you working on now, whats top of your agenda?

As a business we're focussing on talent and engagement. In a VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous) world we need to ensure that we are fit for the future and have deep enough talent pools.

We're also conscious that there are five generations in the workplace today, and we need to tailor our communication and engagement strategy accordingly to that.
