Corporate Social Responsibility
Giving Something Back is HR Staff Searchs’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
Current initiatives include:
SOS Children’s Villages – We raised nearly £3,000 at a recent staff fun day which was matched by our parent group to make a total of nearly £6,000. Following a staff intranet pole we opted for a new village, nursery school and medical centre in Chipata, eastern Zambia
Dress Down Days – The group raised over £10,000 on our latest Dress Down Day, which will be split between two charities – Motor Neurone Disease Scotland and Street Child Africa.
Volunteering Schemes – A pilot scheme is in development and will be run in London with the charity committee members in August. The volunteer scheme will be rolled out to all UK staff at the end of August. The scheme is being further developed so we can roll versions of it out to all international offices.
Work has begun on gathering information about the amount of energy we use and the amount of waste we create in the UK. A firm of energy and environment consultants called Adian Consulting are working with Group Admin and Group Finance to collate the information they need to work out the size of our carbon footprint.
