Camelot runs the most cost-effective lottery in Europe, with only around 4% of total revenue spent on operating costs.
At 40% of total sales (28% to the Good Causes and 12% in Lottery Duty to the Government), it returns a higher proportion of lottery revenue back to society, in percentage terms, than any other major operator in the world. This has helped to fund the biggest programme of civic and social regeneration seen in the UK since the 19th Century.

Charged with maximising returns to society in the most responsible and cost-efficient way, Camelot is now the licensed operator of the UK National Lottery for a third Licence term until 2019 – with the possibility of a further five-year extension.
Camelot provides consulting services to the California State Lottery – now the fastest growing lottery in the US – to help it to increase sales and returns to the state education system. Camelot is also exploring other opportunities in the US and other international markets.
