Corporate social responsibility
We established our corporate social responsibility initiative, The Connect Team, in 2006. Our aim is to give something back to our community and improve our impact upon the environment.
We run three core initiatives:
- In partnership with School-Home Support, we help young people in local schools develop their literacy skills and we also mentor a number of GSCE students through their exams.
- Every year we raise money for a nominated charity selected by our employees. This year we are supporting Gingerbread, which assists one parent families.
- As part of Give and Gain Day, we run a workshop with leaders of social enterprises to help them develop their management and leadership skills.
We have recently received a certificate from Southwark Education Business Alliance (EBA) in recognition of our work on the children's reading scheme and mentoring scheme.
The ConnectTeam is proud of its achievements and is committed to making a positive difference to our staff, community and environment.
