Professor Patricia Leighton is a Jean Monnet Professor of European Law at the University of Glamorgan. She is also a Professor at the College of Europe in Bruges, and Visiting Professor of International Law at the University of Hertfordshire.

She has researched, trained and written widely on employment law and has undertaken projects for the ILO, the European Commission and the UK and foreign governments as well as several UK organisations including the CIPD.

Pat is also session leader of the Personal Experts in Employment Law (PEEL) club, part of Capita Learning & Development. The PEEL club is designed specifically for senior HR managers who wish to address any type of employment issue that may affect their organisation. The club’s aim is to help keep HR managers up to date with the raft of employment regulations as a result of the fast pace of developments in UK and EU employment law.
