Nick is an Assistant in the Immigration Group, working closely with the Head of Immigration. He regularly advises companies on their immigration matters, with particular focus on hiring or transferring overseas nationals, in addition to assisting their global co-ordination. Nick trained with both the Employment and Immigration practices whilst at his former employer, Harbottle & Lewis LLP and also undertook a secondment to Virgin Atlantic Airways where he gained valuable practical experience of everyday employment and commercial issues. Nick is therefore uniquely placed to advise on both employment and immigration issues and regularly advises HR professionals on both. He is an active member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association (Economic Migration Sub Committee) and also a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. Nick graduated from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow in 2001 with an LLB (Hons) before undertaking an LLM at Kings College in London in 2002. Nick qualified as a solicitor in August 2006 and joined Speechly Bircham in March 2008.
