Jessica works on all aspects of employment law including discrimination, wrongful and unfair dismissal, restrictive covenants and claims under TUPE.
She has non-contentious and advisory experience having assisted clients on small and large scale redundancy programmes (including helping to co-ordinate cross border redundancies), drafting employment policies and procedures, negotiating and drafting termination agreements as well as negotiating and drafting contracts of employment and service agreements. Jessica also has contentious experience and has worked on a wide variety of matters in the Employment Tribunal (most recently assisting an individual client on a high value whistle-blowing claim) as well as experience of obtaining interim injunctions, pre-action disclosure orders and Norwich Pharmacal orders in the High Court.
Jessica assists the employment team on business immigration matters such as work permit and tier 1 applications. Currently, she is helping clients to prepare for registration as a sponsor under the new points based system which is being introduced later this year.
Jessica joined Speechly Bircham LLP in October 2005 from Bond Pearce LLP where she trained. She was admitted in 2004. Jessica obtained Law degree from the University of East Anglia, Norwich, in 2001.
