I work as a coach, mentor, facilitator and trainer for organisations in the private and public sectors and clients include a number of universities, the NHS, the BBC and the simplyhealth group. I have successfully coached executives from those starting on their managerial career to members of the Board to achieve their and their organisation’s goals. I have considerable experience of working with senior women and with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures as both a coach and a leader.
Until the autumn of 2007 I also worked as a senior BBC manager heading up one of the corporation’s multi-million pound regional operations, responsible for around 250 staff working in local radio, television and online services. As a leader my focus was on motivating and supporting staff so they delivered the best for the business. I have had considerable experience of dealing with widescale change and helped introduce step changes in working practices and also had to oversee redundancy programmes.
I have just received my MSc in Coaching and Development with distinction (June 2008) and I have also completed an MBA in recent years. I have trained as a career counsellor, in the use of appreciative inquiry to support organisational change and in solutions focused coaching. I am qualified to use psychometric personality questionnaires (British Psychological Society Level A and B) and am a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. I am a member of, and subscribe to the code of ethics of, three professional bodies; the International Coach Federation, the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and the Association for Coaching which accredits me. I am also the Deputy Director of Communications for the AC and facilitate a group of coaches who meet regularly as an AC co-coaching forum to improve their practice.
