Daniel specialises in all aspects of employment law, including unfair dismissal, sex and race discrimination, as well as advisory work on other employment related matters. Having qualified both as a barrister and solicitor he also has considerable litigation experience.
Daniel works for a number of city based financial institutions both on the advisory and contentious side. He recently defended a well known asset management firm against a number of high value age discrimination employment tribunal claims and was involved earlier this year in a high profile FSA investigation into dealer irregularities acting for one of the large city investment banks.
On the advisory side Daniel has worked for a number of years for various financial institutions advising on large scale redundancies, complex business restructuring as well as policy based work on recruitment and staff management.
Daniel joined Speechly Bircham in 2001 from 2 Paper Buildings, Chambers of Desmond de Silva QC. He was called to the bar in 1999. Daniel obtained his law degree from Kings College, London.
