Watson Wyatt Worldwide, a leading
global consulting firm, has announced that Steve Mele has joined the
firm as chief human resources officer. In this position, Mele will
assume responsibility for all human resources initiatives for the
firm’s 7,000 employees worldwide.
Mele has nearly 30 years’ experience managing corporate human
resources programs. He joins Watson Wyatt from Mercer HR Consulting,
where he was the chief people and technology officer. Prior to that, he
held senior level human resource positions in the United Kingdom and
continental Europe at Prudential International, Standard Chartered
Bank, Clearstream (formerly The Cedel Group) and Schlumberger. Mele
will be based in the firm’s Washington, D.C.-area office.

Mele earned a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
