Mercer and Vebnet sign flexible benefits agreement

Mercer has entered into a ten year licence agreement to use Vebnet’s FIX&FLEX® technology as the core application of its UK based flexible benefits services. The agreement also gives Mercer the option to extend this into other European markets and to migrate existing clients to the new platform.

Alan Whalley, UK Market Leader at Mercer said "We are excited at this development which reaffirms our strong commitment to the employee benefits management market. The technology we use within our flexible benefits outsourcing portfolio in the UK and Europe is critical to supporting our growth aspirations in the UK as part of our global benefits outsourcing business.
After an extensive market search we are pleased to be able to make available Vebnet’s technology to our clients as an integral part of our flexible benefits solutions."

Gerry O'Neill, CEO, at Vebnet (pictured) says "We are delighted to be selected by Mercer who has a large share of the UK flex outsourced marketplace for blue chip organisations. Mercer has a strong brand and reputation in this area of the market. This contract is an endorsement of Vebnet and confirms the market leading position that FIX&FLEX® holds. A partnership with Mercer also represents a significant growth opportunity for Vebnet in the UK and throughout Europe
consistent with our strategy for globalising our application and business model."

Vebnet specialises in the development, deployment and support of internet based technology for flexible benefits and Total Reward Statements. Founded in 2000 and subsequently listed on AIM (2003), Vebnet has rapidly become the leading provider of this technology.  Vebnet launched its FIX&FLEX® product in 2002, which is now distributed via leading benefit consultants and a range of other strategic partners.
