Well-being at work

Date Created: 25/02/2011 by Robertson Cooper

Welcome to the Robertson Cooper Well-Being at Work group

The group is mainly intended for Organisational Well-Being professionals and other industry experts who have an interest in and/or responsibility for the implementation of well-being and engagement programmes. The aim of the group is to provide a forum for discussion and debate around a range of well-being at work issues. It will also serve as a business well-being clinic, where you can pose questions and receive advice from other group members and the experts. At a time when HR and well-being professionals constantly have to justify their investment in staff, this group will allow members to share information and best practice, ask for help and advice in planning a well-being strategy or specific interventions and provide an opportunity for networking.

Hi, I am Gemma and I work in internal recruitment for Discovery Communications Europe - better known as Discovery Channel. One of my client groups is HR and I am currently recruiting for what we call a Lifeworks & Diversity Manager. This is essentially a well-being manager but from a more strategic perspective as opposed to the operational elements more commonly associated with occupational health and health and safety. We pride ourselves on creating a balanced, flexible and healthy work environment and a culture focused on inclusivity for ALL international offices. Please feel to recommend anyone that you know who may be interested in this opportunity. Alternatively you can find out more at https://career-discovery-intl.icims.com/jobs/4611/job?mode=view

I'm Julia Ruppert from Collective Arts and a new member who is interested in the use of image and visual-based communication strategies to proactively support and enhance employee mental well-being. Over the past several weeks I have attended several well-being conferences in Europe and enjoyed sharing ideas and thoughts with colleagues in this field. I have joined this group with a mind to continue this dialogue with other professionals who share an interest in evidence-based research, innovative intervention strategies as well as positive ways of superseding the inherent challenges of delivering well-being programming within organisational environments.
